What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files a website can store on your device. They're commonly used to remember your preferences, keep you signed in, or track how you use a site for analytics and advertising.

Cookies on this website

This website does not set any tracking or advertising cookies. We don't use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or similar tools. Fonts are loaded directly from our own server rather than a third party, so no cookies are set for that either.

We do use a self-hosted, cookie-free analytics tool (Umami) to see how many people visit the site and which pages are popular. It doesn't set any cookies, doesn't track you individually across sites, and doesn't collect personal data — it only counts anonymous, aggregate page visits. The data stays entirely on our own server; it's never shared with or processed by a third-party company.

Because none of this involves cookies or personal tracking, we don't show a cookie consent banner — there's nothing to ask your consent for under UK GDPR or PECR.

Strictly necessary cookies

If we ever need to set a strictly necessary cookie — for example, to keep a multi-step form working correctly as you move between pages — it would only be used for that essential function, would contain no personal or tracking data, and would not require separate consent under UK data protection law (PECR).

Payment processing (not currently active)

Our booking forms currently confirm bookings for payment in-store rather than online, so no payment processor is active on this site. If we introduce online payments in the future, our payment provider (Stripe) may set its own cookies for fraud prevention and security — we'll update this policy and, if required, add a consent mechanism before that happens.

Changes to this policy

If we ever start using cookie-based analytics, advertising, or other non-essential cookies, we'll update this page and add a cookie consent banner so you can choose whether to accept them.
