These Talking Bathroom Scales are designed for anyone who wants an easier way to check their weight at home. They are particularly useful for:
Blind and partially sighted users who may find a standard digital display difficult to read.
- Older adults looking for a simple and accessible bathroom scale.
People with limited mobility who may find it uncomfortable to bend down to read their weight.
Users who prefer to receive their weight through both an audible reading and LCD display.
Anyone looking for easy-to-use speaking weighing scales for regular use at home.
Where Should You Place Your Talking Weight Scale?
For consistent measurements, place your talking weight scale on a hard, flat and stable surface. Avoid using the scales on carpet or uneven flooring, as softer surfaces can affect the stability of the scales and the consistency of the reading.
Keep the scales in a dry location and make sure they are positioned securely before stepping onto them.
Talking Bathroom Scales FAQs
Do the talking scales require batteries?
Yes. The Aidapt Talking Scales are powered by 4 AAA batteries, which are not supplied with the product.
Do the talking bathroom scales switch off automatically?
Yes. They feature a step-on power function and automatic power off, making them convenient for everyday use while helping to preserve battery life.
Can I choose between kg, pounds and stones?
The scales allow you to measure your weight using different units. However, the spoken weight function is only available when using kg or lb modes, so this should be considered if you specifically want audible readings.
Do I need to switch the scales on before weighing myself?
No. The step-on function means the scales activate when you step onto them, so there is no need to manually switch them on before each use.
How should I clean my speaking bathroom scales?
Wipe the surface with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry it afterwards. Avoid soaking the scales or allowing water to enter the electronic components.
How can I get more consistent readings from my scales?
Use the scales in the same location on a hard, level surface and try to position yourself consistently each time you weigh yourself.
